Changes to our registration fees

Following extensive engagement with registrants, trade unions, professional bodies and policy makers, HCPC’s proposed fee increase has now passed through both the UK and Scottish Parliaments.

The first professions to be affected by this increase are those with renewal periods beginning on the 1st July 2021.

These professions are:

  • Clinical scientists,
  • Prosthetists and orthotists; and
  • Speech and language therapists

All the renewal dates for the 15 professions can be accessed here

Registration fees increase details

The new renewal fee is £98.12, marking an increase of £8.12. This rise is the first increase in fees since 2015, and is now half the original proposed increase. Registrants have the ability to claim tax relief and spread the cost by paying in instalments, and graduate applicants will receive a 50% discount for the first two years of registration.

The increase also affects application scrutiny fees and application fees for new and readmitting applicants.
