We’re reviewing our sanctions policy to improve consistency and further strengthen decision-making by independent fitness to practise (FTP) panels. The consultation is running from 29 May 2025 to 1 September 2025.

Our Fitness to Practise Annual Report published in October 2024 provided some analysis of our data in order to inform stakeholders and the public about this part of our work. Further analyses of our data are included in this new report and are in two sections.

We have launched a consultation on our proposal to introduce guiding principles for preceptorship.

We are seeking feedback on proposed changes to the Standards of conduct, performance and ethics for each of the 15 professions we regulate. 

The standards of proficiency mapping document is required to look for evidence that you can meet the standards.
