Listening Event - Cambridge24/01/2008 - 14:00 The Paston Brown room, Homerton College, Cambridge Two identical meetings held at 1.30pm - 4pm and 5.30pm - 8pm Listening Events The HPC run Listening Events all across the UK, giving registrants the opportunity to see and hear first hand how we are progressing, and to give feedback on how we can improve. The events offer the opportunity to speak directly to the HPC and to meet and discuss regulation with local registrants from your own and other professions. Listening to your views and comments also help us in shaping the development of future HPC strategy and regulation.
Each event consists of two identical sessions of 1½ to 2 hours held at 1.30pm and again at 5.30pm. We hope that this format will help you to fit attendance around your work commitments. Each session begins with time set aside for people to meet and talk informally with local registrants and members of the HPC Council and executive team. There is also the opportunity to submit questions to the panel in advance. After approximately 30 minutes a short presentation is given looking at the background of the HPC, its current work and the latest developments in regulation.
The remainder of the session is then left open for registrants to put their questions, comments and any feedback to the Chief Executive or President of the HPC and a panel of HPC Council members. We hope you will be able to attend.
