Employer Events
The second series of Employer Events has now come to a close, with the final events taking place in Leeds, Belfast and Edinburgh over February and March 2009. Events in London and Cardiff were held in November and December 2008.
We would like to extend our thanks to the 300 human resources directors, service managers and others who took time out of their busy schedules to attend. The programme involved presentations, question and answer session, workshops and case studies on two key areas – Continuing Professional Development and Fitness to Process – followed by a networking lunch.
Some delegates 'found case studies and discussion very useful' as well as feeling 'a responsibility to help employees who are finding the CPD process stressful.' Another echoed this by saying 'I feel I can go back and provide good advice to staff and reduce anxiety around CPD audits.'
Overall some found that 'the event was excellent with high quality presentations containing all key information' and others were 'particularly impressed with the quality and knowledge of all the HPC personnel at the conference today. They have instilled in me a great confidence in the HPC and its processes.'
Following all the feedback, we are once again looking to improve the format for the next series of Employer Events across the UK in late 2009 / early 2010, perhaps making it a longer, more interactive day with an additional workshop.
