Approved programmes
We approve programmes within the UK which lead to eligibility apply to our Register. This means someone who has successfully completed one of these approved programmes is eligible to apply to our Register.
We currently approve programmes in the 16 professions which we regulate as well as a small number of post-registration qualifications for those already on our Register.
All of these programmes meet our standards of education and training. In doing so, we can be sure successful graduates from these programmes meet our standards of proficiency for the relevant profession.
As part of the approval process we visit education providers who run such programmes to ensure our standards of education and training are being met.
Approval visit reports are produced at the end of each visit and provide a record of the visit outcomes. Any conditions placed on a programme must be met before we can approve / continue to approve a programme. If a programme is approved with us, it means the conditions outlined in an approval visit report have now been met.
