Professional bodies

Each of the professions we regulate has at least one professional body and / or association. You can find contact details for professional bodies and associations on the relevant profession page.

HCPC Fitness to Practise Partnership Forums

Twice a year we hold HCPC Fitness to Practise forums which are attended by members of professional bodies, trade unions and our fitness to practise department.

At the meetings we discuss regulatory developments, particularly those which may affect the individuals who undergo fitness to practise proceedings. These may include updates to our policies, statistics and trends, research work, or operational approaches.

The aim is to obtain greater understanding of the issues faced by the stakeholders to the regulatory process and collaborate to achieve balanced outcomes for the registrants and the public. These meetings are usually held in May and November.

If you are a representative body and would like more information about the forum or would like to attend, please email us on
