People at HPC

There are three main groups of people who do work for HPC. This page is a quick guide to those three groups.

Members of staff

Members of staff are employed by the HPC to carry out the work of the Council. The staff work at the HPC offices which are in Kennington, London. A list of vacancies for HPC employees is available here .

Members of Council

The Council is the main decision-making body of the HPC. It sets policies and strategies for how the HPC will regulate health professions and protect the public. Council members' employers are reimbursed for the time that they spend carrying out HPC business, and we also pay reasonable expenses.

For more information about the Council, please see the Council section of the website .

Partners

Partners work as agents of the HPC, not as employees, and provide the expertise that the HPC needs for its decision-making. Partners include registrants (health professionals on the HPC Register) as well as qualified lawyers and members of the public.

For more information about partners, please see the partners area of the website. Any partner roles that we are currently recruiting for will be on the positions available page .
