Council appointments

Appointments to the Council are made by the Appointments Commission on behalf of the Privy Council.

The role of a Council member

The Council consists of ten registrant members, drawn from the professions regulated by HPC, and ten lay members, drawn from a variety of walks of life. You will find more information on the role played by our members here, and more on the type of people who have been appointed in the past, here.
