Standards of conduct, performance and ethics

This page is about our standards of conduct, performance and ethics which are the ethical framework within which HCPC registrants work. It is important that registrants read and understand this document.

This document sets out the standards of conduct, performance and ethics we expect from the professionals we regulate. The standards also apply to people who are applying to become registered.

These standards were adopted in July 2008. Some minor chages were made to them on 1 August 2012, when we became the Health and Care Professions Council. The revised standards apply from that date.
